Does anyone else ever think about how traditional fiction is categorised by plot/setting (romance, crime, thriller, fantasy) but fanfiction is categorised by the emotions it’s meant to give you (hurt/comfort, fluff, angst, smut)?
Never thought of it this way, but that’s fascinatingly true.

Honestly the ease with which some women on this website were able to frame the issue of sex workers being deprived of a primary source of income as “a sad consequence of the greater good”, with the inherent implication of sex workers as a lesser, disposable type of woman, kinda goes to show you how social media feminism is like, irreparably a sheltered middle class thing for the most part.
Also the quickness with which the most reactionary elements of this sheltered middle class white woman social media feminism jumped to implying that sex workers on this website were, in fact, intrinsically predatory towards children for using a website that has always allowed you to self-flag as an explicit blog (IE, explicitly signals to you via its options that owning a blog with porn in it is completely okay) is, well, absolutely horrifying and a big demonstration of why I generally don’t trust non-survivors with discourse about pedophilia on tumblr. These people sound like some fucking Christian Moms Against Gang Weed shit.
